1. The Promotion of Access to Information Act gives the right to persons and entities to access information of a company. In order to exercise this right, please send a formal request that outlines what records you would like access to.
2. The request must be done in accordance with the prescribed procedure, at the rates provided.
2.1 Requests for information must be in writing and made using the prescribed form. The request can be delivered to the physical address of the company or sent through accepted electronic means.
2.2 The company must acknowledge receipt and respond to the request within 14 days, granting access during business hours for a reasonable period.
2.3 If access is denied, the company must provide written reasons, and the requester may appeal the decision.
3. Any shareholder, director, or person with a beneficial interest in the company’s securities has the right to inspect and copy designated company records (such as annual financial statements, minutes of meetings, and share registers), subject to payment of a reasonable fee where applicable.
3.1 Other stakeholders may request access to certain information, provided such access does not infringe on confidentiality, privacy, or other protected interests.
4. Access may be refused if the information:
4.1 Is subject to legal privilege or confidentiality agreements.
4.2 Contains personal data protected by law.
4.3 Relates to ongoing investigations or security matters.
4.4 Would compromise the company’s commercial interests or violate third-party rights.
5. If a request is denied, the requester may appeal the decision in writing to the designated company official. The appeal must be resolved within 14 business days after the appeal has been lodged.
